Mary Jo Majerus, B.A., C.M.T. Owner/Director |

| Mary Jo received her Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, Iowa, 1975. While teaching Mason City, Iowa she discovered that she had an aptitude for massage. She moved to Philadelphia and graduated from The Massage Institute in Glendolyn, PA in 1979. After receiving her diploma she opened a private practice in her home in Philadelphia, PA. Over the past twenty-nine years she has had training in: Therapeutic Touch, from the Therapeutic Touch Center in Philadelphia, PA.; Trager Technique, from The Trager Institute in Princeton, NJ.; and Reflexology from the Minneapolis School of Massage in Minneapolis, MN. In 1987 she opened Healing Touch Therapeutic Massage Center in Rochester, MN. The name has since changed to Healing Touch Spalon. | ||

| Jo graduated from the Minnesota State University in Mankato, MN in 1982 with a B.A. in Accounting. In 1991 she became a C.P.A. She worked in a private accounting firm until 1993 when she opened her own business. She assists students in arranging payment plans for tuition fees. | ||
| Mary Jo Battey, C.M.T. Instructor | ||
Mary Jo graduated from the Boulder School of Massage Therapy in 1983 with 1250 hours. Since then she has practiced massage in Boulder, CO and Rochester, MN. Mary Jo has taught Massage Therapy in various schools in Colorado and Minnesota. She co-lead workshops in Colorado, Texas and Mexico. In 1989 she helped open a Massage School in Puerto Rico. Mary Jo has continued to pursue continuing education in the field including: Myofascial Release, Pregnancy Massage, Infant Massage, Reflexology and many others. |

| Steve Cole, B.A., M.A. Instructor | ||
| Steve received his first Masters in Natural Science from the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, SD in 1990. He taught Biology at Western Iowa Technical College in Sioux City, IA while obtaining his second masters in Biology in 1991, also from the University of South Dakota. From 1991 to 1999 he taught classes in anatomy, physiology and nutrition at Iowa Central Community College in fort Dodge, IA. In 1999 he moved to Minnesota and in addition to teaching at Massage & Spa Professional Academy he also teaches anatomy, physiology and nutrition at Rochester Community and Technical College. | ||
| Annie Kramer, C.M.T. Instructor | ||
| Annie has been practicing as a certified massage professional since 1988. Certified by the Self-Help Incorporated School of Medical Massage, she has also been licensed since 1992 by the State Medical Board of Ohio and is a long time member of the AMTA. She holds an Associates Degree in Fine Arts with a Major in Dance and has had training in dance movement therapy. Further training includes advanced work in anatomy and physiology, training in Therapeutic Touch, Level-1 traing in Healing Touch, Craniosacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute Level - 1, training in infant and sports massage and stress management . | ||

| Annie graduated from Massage & Spa Professional Academy in February 2004. She teaches our elcetive classes of Aromatherapy Facials and Hot Stone Massage. She is a full time C.M.T. at Healing Touch Spalon. She specializes in the Swedish/Esalen Massage, Trigger Point Massage and spa therapies. | ||
| Randy Renken Instructor | ||
| Randy attended Rochester Community and Technical College and graduated with an Associates in Science Degree. He also attended Winona State University wehre he received his Bachelors Degree. And he received a Master's of Physical Therapy degree from the Mayo School of Health - Related Sciences. He is a teacher at Rochester Community and Technical College and Winona State University. He is also associated with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture. He was nominated for Teacher of the Year at RCTC for the 2006-2007 school year. | ||

| Paula graduated from Massage & Spa Professional Academy in 2006. She practices massage in her own business, which is called "Discover Yourself Massage & Bodywork" and is located at Somerby Golf Club in Byron. She was inspired to go to massage school after surviving breast cancer because she wanted to help other people take time and care for themselves. | ||
| Char Tarashanti Instructor | ||
| Char has worked in the field of holistic healing modalities for the past 16 years. She is certified in Esalen Massage through the Minneapolis School of Massage and Bodywork and has over 1,000 hours of training in a variety of bodyworl modalities. She is a Reiki Master Teacher and a Certified Feng Shui Consultant. char has taught community classes, led workshops and retreats, in addition to 7 years of teaching experience in a massage school setting. She has a private practice in her home in Rochester and continues to learn, both formally and informally, on a daily basis. | ||
| Bonnie Hameister Office Administrator | ||
| Bonnie has 2 year Accounting Diploma from Rochester Community and Technical College. She has work experience in Accounting, Payroll and management. She started working for Healing Touch Spalon in November 2005 as a receptionist. She took the Office Adminstrator position at Massage and Spa Professional Academy in April 2007. |
